Q&A
Why Blue Iris? Blue Irises represent faith and hope. I recognize that there are times where we lose our faith and hope to overcome the obstacles we are facing. However, it is my belief that faith and hope can be cultivated within a therapeutic relationship, and once one has acquired faith and hope, the healing journey will flourish.
How often will I need to participate in therapy? This will be decided between us during your initial intake session. Most people find that starting with weekly sessions is the most beneficial frequency for improving their mental health. However, other factors must be taken into consideration, including one’s overall goals, availability, and financial abilities.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions? I offer both virtual and in-person sessions. Please note that you must be physically located in the state of CO in order to receive virtual sessions from me.
Do you accept insurance? I currently accept the following insurances: Aetna, Aetna Medicare Advantage, Anthem BCBS, Centivo, Cigna, Devoted Medicare, Friday Health Plans, Kaiser Permanente, Humana Medicare, Lucent Health, Medicare, Optum Carveout, Optum EAP Oscar, TriWest, United Healthcare (UMR), United Medicare Advantage Plans, and Velocity National Provider Network. (This will be changing in the summer of 2026).

In addition, I offer private pay 60-minute sessions at rate of $170 per session. If you carry Medicare or Medicaid, I legally CANNOT accept private payment from you. I do offer a sliding fee scale to qualifying individuals.

What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations can negatively affect your progress as well as other clients’ ability to receive needed support. Because of the impact that cancellations can cause, I require a minimum 24 hour cancellation notice. If you cancel your appointment within less than 24 hour of your scheduled time, or you do not show to your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged for your full session (this excludes clients with Medicaid). I recognize that emergencies do happen, and an exception may be made depending on the nature of your cancellation.
